Account and password

You can use the mFood app to find mobile food vendors without an account. We encourage you to create an account to enjoy the full mFood experience—tag your favorite vendors, place an order, remove ads, and more.

Create an mFood account

Creating an account allows you to experience the full benefits of the current and future mFood features, such as tagging favorites, placing orders, and removing in-app ads.

You can create an account by signing in to mFood the first time with your email address and creating a password, or by signing in with your Google or Facebook account information. You should always sign in to mFood the same way to ensure access to your favorites, see your order history, and place orders.

Create an mFood account using your email address

To create an email address account, you will need to enter your email address and create a password:

  1. Tap User on the tab bar.
  2. On the Sign In screen, enter your email address.
  3. Create a password. Passwords need to be six or more characters in length with at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, and one number.
  4. Tap Sign in with email.
  5. Your email address and new password are populated on the Create Account screen. Tap to Enable TouchID or FaceID (optional), then tap Create Account.

On the User Info screen you can tap Edit to complete your profile, or you can tap Close By on the tab bar to go to the map and discover mobile food options.

Since your mFood account was created using your email address, you should always sign in to mFood the same way in order to access your favorites, see your order history, and place orders.

Create an mFood account using Google or Facebook

To create an account using your Google or Facebook account information:

  1. Tap User on the tab bar.
  2. On the Sign In screen, tap Sign in with Google or Sign in with Facebook.
  3. Tap Continue to proceed to Google or Facebook.
  4. Follow the prompts to sign in to mFood with your Google or Facebook account.

On the User Info screen you can tap Edit to complete your profile, or you can tap Close By on the tab bar to go to the map and discover mobile food options.

Since your mFood account was created using your Google or Facebook account information, you should always sign in to mFood the same way in order to access your favorites, see your order history, and place orders.

Change your password

Sign in to your mFood account to request a password change.

To change your password:

  1. Tap User on the tab bar.
  2. Tap Edit , then select Change Password. A password reset email will be sent to the email associated with your mFood account.
  3. Open the password reset email and click the link, then enter a password. Passwords need to be six or more characters in length with at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, and one number.

Recover your password

To recover your password:

  1. On the Sign In screen, enter your email address.
  2. Tap Recover Forgotten Password. A password reset email will be sent to the email associated with your mFood account.
  3. Open the password reset email and click the link, then enter a password. Passwords need to be six or more characters in length with at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, and one number.
